Sew House Seven - The Revel Topper Paper Pattern Size 00-20
The Revel Topper is a simple boxy top that is just long enough to tuck into a high to mid-rise bottom.
Its unique feature is the shawl collar and front yoke facing.
Version A – Features angled bust darts and is slightly fitted at the bust and waist. The shoulders extend to become short sleeves with deep facings.
Version B – The same cut as version A, but slightly longer and with a narrower cut-on sleeve finished with a wide cuff that lands just above the elbow.
Version C – A modified poncho with wide, bracelet length sleeves. This version is very loose fitting and does not include darts.
Beginner to intermediate sewing level. No closures or complicated construction, but requires care with shaping and collar facings.
Fabric Recommendations
Light to mid-weight woven fabrics with a subtle drape such as linen, viscose/linen blends, Ecovero challis, and Tencel chambray.
