Notches - Moriko Paper Pattern
Moriko is an all-in-one pattern for knit fabrics, designed to offer endless versatility.
Makers can create wardrobe essentials like fitted T-shirts, tank tops, long sleeves, and casual knit dresses for every season — or elevate their look with the unique paneling, one-shoulder variant, and optional slits for a festive or statement outfit.
Size range: EU 34–62 / UK 6–34 / US 2–30
Moriko is easy to sew and has so many different options in just one pattern! Here are some of her main features:
Easy to Intermediate (depending on the chosen variant).
This pattern is rated at just 1 dot for difficulty—a perfect quick-fix project and ideal for sewists who love working with stretchy fabrics. If you’re new to sewing with stretch fabrics, don’t worry; our comprehensive instructions will guide you every step of the way! Some of the more complex variants are rated at 2 dots.
This is a fitted design, specifically created for stretchy fabrics and intended to sit snugly. The pattern doesn’t include much negative ease, making it suitable for fabrics with a lower stretch percentage (as little as 20%). If you're between sizes, we recommend selecting the smaller size for the best fit. Additionally, if you choose a fabric with a high stretch percentage, sizing down is advised.
FABRIC CHOICE
Stretch fabrics only — suitable for both knit fabrics such as jersey, French terry, or punta di Roma, and very stretchy woven fabrics (minimum 20% stretch)
Woven fabrics without stretch are not suitable
Designed with minimal negative ease, allowing use of fabrics with 20–30% stretch
For fabrics with more than 30% stretch, select one size smaller for the best fit
In this free guide we teach you more about the stretch percentage of stretch fabrics
36 possible views ranging from a basic round-neck T-shirt or tank top to a bold one-sleeve dress. There is something for every season and every occasion.
