Maison Fauve - Almost Shirt Paper Pattern
The little summer blouse that goes with everything, easy to sew and beautifully finished - this is it!
The ALMOST sewing pattern takes inspiration from classic men’s shirts, with its cuffed sleeve hems, straight cut, and soft collar.
But don’t be fooled: the volume, length, and shaping darts transform it into a truly charming blouse that will quickly become a staple in your handmade wardrobe.
Sewing level: INTERMEDIATE
Key techniques covered are: attaching a flat collar, neatly finishing the neckline with facings andsetting in the sleeves (made easier thanks to the 3-piece sleeve design), creating the sleeve cuff turn-ups and sewing bust darts.
Size: 34 to 52, for a height of 1m 65. The pattern runs true to size, so please refer to the finished garment measurement chart.
SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED AND ARE 1CM.
Fabric choice: Opt for soft, lightweight fabrics between 70 and 200 g/m that press well with aniron - this will make finishing the collar and sleeve cuff turns up much easier.
Poplin, crepe, voile, twill, lightweight denim or chambray all work beautifully, in fibres such as cotton, viscose, linen, TencelTM or even silk.
Supplies: fabric with a 140cm width
Whether you’re sewing the version with or without the collar.
34-44 : 100 cm
46-50 : 120 cm
52 : 140 cm
