eg 5 = 2.5 metres
Hand block print pure cotton fabric by Pitchuka Srinivas from Pedana, Andhra Pradesh, is created using one of the earliest and most intricate printing techniques.
Master artisan Pitchuka Srinivas, who has dedicated his life to preserving traditional hand block printed pedana kalamkari, uses hand-carved wooden blocks dipped in natural dyes to form traditional kalamkari motifs, keeping this centuries-old craft alive with natural dyes and original techniques. This fabric is suitable for stitching garments, dupattas and home decor accents.
100% Cotton
119 cm wide
114 gsm
Each piece is hand block printed and dyed using natural colors over a slow process of 15–20 days. As a result, you may notice slight variations in color, mild pigment smudges or irregular dye patterns, these are not defects. They’re gentle marks of authenticity, proudly bearing the touch of human hands, heritage, and nature’s own palette. Wear them like a signature because no two pieces are ever alike.
Fabric Care
Gentle hand wash separately in cold water with mild/liquid detergents, excess natural colours may bleed when washed for the first time. Avoid soaking for too long.
This fabric is not pre-washed. Minor color bleed may first 1–2 washes, It is recommended to soak in salt water before stitching.
