Augusta Shirt and Dress sewing pattern from Grainline Studio. The Augusta is a cocoon shaped dress or shirt with an asymmetrical collar and mitred split hem. Choose from a short cuffed sleeve or a long straight sleeve – both are interchangeable with the dress or shirt.

Suggested fabrics: Light to medium weight woven fabrics such as cotton, linen, chambray, rayon.

Fabric requirements: Extra fabric may be needed to match plaids, stripes, or one-way print designs.

45″ (114 cm) wide fabric: Short sleeve shirt, 3 – 3 1/4 yd (2.6 – 2.9 m) // Long sleeve shirt, 3 1/4 – 3 3/8 yd (2.9 – 3 m) // Short sleeve dress, 3 7/8 – 4 1/8 yd (3.4 – 3.8 m) // Long sleeve dress, 4 1/4 yd (3.7 – 3.8 m).

54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: Short sleeve shirt, 3 1/8 – 3 1/4 yd (2.7 – 2.8 m) // Long sleeve shirt, 3 1/4 – 3 1/3 yd (2.9 – 3 m) // Short sleeve dress, 3 7/8 – 4 yd (3.4 -3.5 m) // Long sleeve dress, 4 1/4 yd (3.7 – 3.8 m).

The 0 – 18 pattern is drafted for a B sewing cup size. The 14 – 30 pattern is drafted for a D sewing cup size. Both patterns are drafted for a height of 5’5″.
